Rick and Morty #2 Review

c

by Zac Gorman, CJ Cannon, Ryan Kelly, and Marc Kellerby

Rick and Morty are convicted of a plethora of crimes (some of which they committed last issue), and despite Rick trying to use his prepubescent nephew to seduce one of the judges, they’re sentenced to “Clackspire” Labyrinth.

Back at home, Morty’s parents are fighting over Jerry causing Rick and Morty’s arrest while Kelly and Morty’s sister starts planning to redecorate his room.

Rick and Morty get to “Clackspire” and wander for hours. Rick reveals his supplies of lab coats, alcohol, and sex toys in that order. Despite Morty’s concerns, his grandfather actually causes one hell of a cliffhanger.

Rick and Morty the show is brilliant and probably the best program on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block. Fittingly, the comic is possibly the best series Oni Press is publishing. It captures the tone and characters of the show so well and emulates the art style perfectly thanks to colorist Ryan Kelly.

If you’ve never seen the show, rectify that immediately. If you’re already a fan, BUY THIS! If you just want a funny/perverse comic than pick this up! I guarantee its like no other book you’ll find on a comic shelve…
