Indubitable Issues and Pull List (10/12/16)

LOOKING FOR BOOKS TO BUY THIS WEEK?

LOOK NO FURTHER.

HERE ARE SOME ISSUES THAT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

Tyler’s Recommendations …
reborn1Reborn #1
“Mark Millar teams with Greg Capullo for a Sci-fi fantasy epic. Period. If you need more than that to convince you, we’re not friends.”

“As you may know, we here at NBC! have an affinity for comics and music–RIP Pull list Playlist–so when I read the solicit for this book, I knew I had to have it, and recommend it. A collection of stories with soundtracks, this is a must buy for the music-loving comic fan.”

Josh’s Recommendation…
fadeouthcThe Fade Out Deluxe Hardcover
“Collecting all 12 issues, plus bonus content, this is an appealing offering from Brubaker and Philips. If you missed out on the issues and trades, this has everything you need to enjoy a classic Noir story set in 1950’s Hollywood. With the pair already on another hit Image comic, you owe to itself to own this collection of their previous Eisner winning series.”

Dean’s Recommendations…
gothamacademysecondsemster2Gotham Academy Second Semester #2
“If you read the first semester you know how good this book still is. If you haven’t read the first semester don’t worry, just jump into the second semester! School starts this issue!”

killorbekilled3Kill or Be Killed #3
“So many good Image Comics coming out this week. If I have to play your sick twisted game and pick just one, I would pick Kill or Be Killed.”

As I’m sure you all have noticed, the pull list page is no longer present. We here at Nothing But Comics have decided to combine this weekly with the discussion of which comics we are all buying for the week. Included below is the link of our personal favorite product guide. Don’t worry, this is not an advertisement; the website is not paying us anything to push it (not that we’d object!). Comic List just happens to be totally awesome. So check out that massive list and then come on back here to let us know what you are buying.

    Great comics week coming up!

Issue 7 of Wonder Woman was disappointing; the art looked rushed and the writing wasn’t up to snuff. I’m looking for it to rebound this week.

Resident Alien is the best book that nobody is reading. If you like private detective stuff (with an incidental alien twist) then you’ll love Resident Alien. It’s less than 20 issue of material so far.

    Monstress is still gorgeous.

Insufferable is one of my favorite Superhero books.

Unfollow is pretty much the only newish Vertigo book that I like.

The Fix is one of the best comics on the stands period. Full stop. Nuff said.

  2. Reborn
    Moon Knight
    All-Star Batman
Hal Jordan And The Green Lantern Corps
    Black Monday Murders
    Jupiter’s Legacy Volume 2

Black Science…maybe. I’ve kinda lost track of what is going on with this series, so I might just go back and read the next volume of Fear Agent and come back to it another time.

  3. Detective Comics
    Supergirl
    New Superman
    Sheriff of Babylon
    Black Monday Murders
    Kill or Be Killed
    Monstress
    Sex
    Shutter
    Darth Vader
    Han Solo
    Britannia
    Eternal Warrior
