Diamond Comics likes to send me useless press releases. A while back, they sent a useless e-mail about ComicWow, a useless ” multi-media marketing hub of Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc” Well I’m happy to report that Diamond has finally released a non-useless e-mail in their promotion of ComicWow and their interview with Diamond CEO Steve Geppi. Steve will be taking questions live tomorrow, 2/8/2017 at 2:30 PM EST, on ComicWow’s Facebook page. Based on Steve Geppi’s very public political stance’s & the business practices of his organization; here are some questions you can ask him via ComicWow:
How do you think it’s healthy for Diamond Comics to have a monopoly on the entire comics industries distribution system?
Do you believe that a monopoly is healthy for the economy as a whole?
As a monopoly, does Diamond Comics have any positive effect on the comics industry or economy as a whole?
By having a monopoly on comics distribution, doesn’t Diamond Comics have a direct effect on the industries overall decline in readership?
How do you operate a business that is a monopoly when that is technically illegal?
In a previous Facebook post about income inequality, you alluded to an individuals personal wealth being caused from “choices” and used examples such as “You choose to drop out of high school or to skip college….have your children out of wedlock..” what would you say was the “choice” that many comic creators who are selling books through your distribution system made that they cannot subsist on a living wage from the income they make off the comics sold through Diamond?
By having a monopoly on comics distribution, doesn’t Diamond Comics directly have an effect on creators wages and income inequality within the comics industry in addition to the economy as a whole?
Does the “choice” of having a child out wedlock ultimately mean you will have less in personal income?
Does the “choice” you’re referring to extend to a women’s choice to have an abortion?
In regards to income inequality, what is your stance on current Black Panther writer Ta-Nehisi Coates assertion that income inequality between whites and blacks is the result of centuries long institutional racism and as such, African American’s are owed reparations?
If not, what do you believe is the source of income inequality between African Americans and Caucasians in the United States of America?
What choices did you make that led to you allegedly not paying $500,000 owed to the family of comics creator Bob Montana and almost filing for bankruptcy and why should you have been given the option to not pay back your own debt?
You’ve expressed your displeasure with former president Barack Obama calling him “the worst president in the history of the country!” What is your opinion on the current presidents policies and what are your feelings on the Muslim Travel Ban he recently enacted?
What about Barack Obama’s policy decisions qualified him as “the worst president in the history of the country”?
Did you vote for our current president as you stated you would in the past?
If so, based on his initial time in office, would you vote for him again?
Do you agree with the current administrations stance on abortion?
Do you agree with the current administrations stance on climate change?
Do you agree with the current administration that we should devote our government resources to building a wall across the border of Mexico?
You stated you were “certain Trump would be a better president then her (Hillary Clinton) because she is all about using the system to her advantage and can be bought” based on Trumps own statements, how did that not disqualify him from being president in your mind for those reasons as opposed to Hillary Clinton?
As a self described “conservative” how is the Muslim Travel Ban constitutional?
Do you agree with your self described “good friend” Ben Carson’s assertion that pyramids were actually biblical grain silos?
Do you agree with your self described “good friend” Ben Carson’s assertion that homosexuality is a choice?
You can ask Steve Geppi these questions tomorrow, 2/8/2016, at 2:30 PM EST on the ComicWow Facebook page here
