“Kurt Sutter has a vivid imagination with depicting the depths of revenge and blood a person can go to, be it in an outlaw motorcycle gang in California or medieval England. Diving head-on into comics for the first time, the story involves women seeking bloody justice against abusers and predators while dressed as nuns. Its crazy sounding, but sure to be a gory good time.”

  Batwoman #5
 Writer Marguerite Bennett & artist Stephanie Hans reunite for the first time since their memorable collaboration on Angela: Queen of Hel. Bennett’s distinct, yet versatile, voice has rapidly established itself as one of the brightest in comics, a trend which continues with Batwoman (co-written by James Tynion IV). Meanwhile Hans’ art is among the most dynamic, beautiful images gracing comics. If you haven’t yet sampled the latest adventures of Kate Kane, this issue should prove an ideal moment to do so. . . “
 
Rapture #3
Three issues in, Valiant’s The Rapture has not lost any steam. Matt Kindt’s tale of a ragtime bunch of heroes tranversing the Deadside has been a blast. Kindt skillfully weaves group dynamics, a spin on Biblical lore and well-paced action sequences into an entertaining yarn. Cafu and Roberto de la Torre share art duties, filling the pages with imaginative imagery”

We here at Nothing But Comics have decided to combine this weekly with the discussion of which comics we are all buying for the week.
