Indubitable Issues and Pull List (02/07/18)

LOOKING FOR BOOKS TO BUY THIS WEEK?

LOOK NO FURTHER.

HERE ARE SOME ISSUES THAT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

Tyler’s Recommendation…
Swamp Thing Winter Special #1
“Tom King and the late Len Wein team up for a special edition Swamp Thing story. As a big Swampy fan, I’m very excited for this special. Tom King writing anything has my attention at this point, and I can’t wait to see what he and Wein have come up with.”

Dean’s Recommendations
Twisted Romance #1
Alex de Campi writing a four issue mini series event telling tales of love, with art from Katie Skelly on this debut issue… add to cart.

Rogue and Gambit #2
“Guys and gals, the first issue was great! If you are a fan of Rogue or Gambit and find their relationship status an item of interest then this is a must buy. I have always said Rogue can be one of my favorite characters when written correctly. Here you go!”

 Patrick’s Recommendations
Justice League #38
“The great Christopher Priest has been weaving an interesting Justice League arc so far, as he’s acting as a bridge between the last team and the upcoming Scott Snyder & the #SadBoys reintroduction later this year. As can be the case these days, the art pairing has been a little rough, but Priest is in his element here writing wise, and the title has been quite entertaining for the last couple issue’s”

VS. #1
“Esad Ribic is back for his first ongoing since the seminal Secret Wars. With all new series written by Ivan Brandon, featuring mercenaries fighting war as a spectator sport, expect the epic in full force with one of comics most enthralling illustrators”

The Wicked+The Divine 1923
” One of the great ongoing series releases another of their historical one shots, this time focusing on modernist historical figures in 1923 with art from Aud Koch”

As we’re sure you all have noticed, the pull list page is no longer present. We here at Nothing But Comics have decided to combine this weekly with the discussion of which comics we are all buying for the week. Included below is the link of our personal favorite product guide. Don’t worry, this is not an advertisement; the website is not paying us anything to push it (not that we’d object!). Comic List just happens to be totally awesome. So check out that massive list and then come on back here to let us know what you are buying.

  1. Stuck here at work tonight until 9. Snow is falling like crazy. I’m afraid I’ll be living that Swamp Thing cover in a few hours!

      1. Thankfully, the general manager called around eight and told everyone to go home. The drive wasn’t horrible, but my manager told me not to come out today because the roads were so bad.

  2. For the writers… Skelton Crew studios is having a writing contest with prizes.
We’re calling it #MacabreMonday and this time we’re looking for the most terrifying tale you can tell in 280 characters or less.

    Here are the rules:

Write an original tale of terror that fits in a single Tweet
Tweet us your story between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. EST Monday
    Tag and follow us: @SkeltonCrew
    Use the hashtag #MacabreMonday
Our favorite story will win a set of “The Beauty of Horror” enamel pins from Alan Robert’s GORE-geous coloring book!

    1. That’s funny – I saw their email announcement this morning (I’m waiting on my custom HEAD LOPPER Norgal action figure) and tweeted my story, then I saw your post here. Thanks for the heads up.

      1. Ya, that is quite good dude!

        Reed’s

A six-letter word for a group of crows: MURDER. A six-letter word for killing someone: MURDER. That morning, Amy found the crossword puzzle macabre, but sadly didn’t notice her angry ex-boyfriend standing behind her, or his kitchen knife. @SkeltonCrew #MacabreMonday
