Tyler’s Recommendation…
Wildstorm Michael Cray #1
“I’ve enjoyed the reboot of Wildstorm very much, so this first solo book has my interest. Being a reader with little knowledge of the old Wildstorm, it has been fun to slowly learn all the players.”

This Week’s Finest:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Universe #14

TMNTU14

By Eric Burnham, Sophie Campbell, Brittany Peer, Shawn Lee

It’s a good week in comics when I have a threeway tie choosing The Week’s Finest: do I go with the tried and true Kill or Be Killed (which was quite good as usual), an intriguing mystery thriller Hellboy and the BPRD, or an underdog with fantastic art that makes me care about a character I’ve never liked? I always favor underdogs, although it was a difficult choice until I thought about the book with the best art: TMNT Universe #14. Creighton’s Recommendations…
Saucer State #3
“Fans of Paul Cornell and Ryan Kelly’s Vertigo series would be forgiven if they were apprehensive about Cornell and Kelly resuming the series at a new publisher after a four year gap. Would they be able to retain the same spark while updating their tale of politics, trauma and aliens to an altered social landscape? Based on the first two issues, the answer is yes, they can. Cornell and Kelly have picked up their narrative without losing a beat, updating its context without neglecting any of the elements which made the original so compelling. Vertigo’s loss has been IDW’s, and reader’s, gain.”

Tyler’s Recommendation…
