Indubitable Issues and Pull List (11/08/17)

HERE ARE SOME ISSUES THAT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT.

Josh’s Recommendations…
Fence #1
“Its often said that ‘there’s a manga about everything.’ To the best of my knowledge, there isn’t one about fencing! While this is more or less an American comic, it sounds like it has the sensibilities that people desire in Manga: plotting, characterization, the constant struggle of the protagonist and his gradual evolution. This sounds like a slam-dunk, involving the classical sport of fencing. Color me intrigued.””

Tyler’s Recommendation…
Runaways #1
“The gang is back! Well…most of them. If you’ve read the original series, I probably don’t have to convince you to check this out. A lot has happened to our Runaways since the last series, grab this to find out what’s next.

Tyler’s Recommendation…
Dastardly and Muttley #1
“Another Hanna-Barbera related comic from DC. The rest have mostly been much better than I expected, so I’m checking this out. It helps that the creative team is extra intriguing, I’m an Ennis fan, and the preview art from Mauricet looks fantastic”

Josh’s Recommendation…
Luke Cage #1
“If there’s anyone I trust to be writing a Luke Cage solo series, its David Walker. There’s no better time for this series, not the least of which the awareness the Netflix show garnered for the character. I have high hopes for this title, and with Walker’s previous work on Shaft and the past ‘Heroes for Hire’ run, it’s sure to impress.”

Josh’s Recommendation …
DocSavage

Doc Savage: The Spider’s Web #1
“Chris Roberson is writing ‘Doc Savage’ again. If you missed the first time he tackled the character and expertly brought him from the 1930’s to the 00’s, then you must read this latest book featuring the Man of Bronze.”
