12 DAYS OF COMICS – DAY 1: PREACHER

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me:

Preacher Volume 3

PreacherVol3

What a fantastic way to start off the 12 Days of Comics.   Almost one year ago when I was first getting into comics my plan was to read every Batman book I could get my hands on, as well as some of the classics that caught my layman eyes.  In these early stages of buying it did not occur to me to visit a comic shop and actually chat with someone who could help, my plan was to formulate a wishlist on my own.  This resulted in many Amazon purchases and many purchases from local Classified ads.  In this process I came across a book called Y: The Last Man.  I bought it from the classifieds and the man I met in the mall that day at the exchange said, “I couldn’t get into this one, hope you like it.”  That wasn’t a good start but I usually don’t care what others have to say about a book.
